    Welcome!

It is not unusual to struggle along the path of life. Our work lives are full of stress and relationships can be difficult. Perhaps something has come up that has thrown you for a loop, or you keep experiencing difficulties in your relationships either at work or in your personal life. If this is true for you, then therapy can be very beneficial.

Therapy is a powerful process that has helped many people work through difficulties with:

    • stress
    • anxiety
    • depression
    • relationships
    • career issues
    • eating disorders
    • fear
    • grief
    • self-esteem issues
    • life transitions

How you proceed and make changes in your life will be unique to you. Therapy can help you learn about your self and how you want to lead your life.

I work with individuals and couples. Whether you are in the early stages of your relationship or have been together for many years, couples therapy can help enhance your relationship. The process helps to build intimacy, better communications, and a happier, healthier and more responsible way of being with each other.

Therapy is a journey with a skilled therapist. I am here to help you.

I am a psychotherapist trained at The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP) in Toronto. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

I offer an initial free 30-minute consultation for individuals looking for a therapist. The consultation is a time to outline what you are looking for, to ask questions, and to determine if psychodynamic psychotherapy is a process you want to proceed with.

In psychodynamic therapy we talk about your life and how you became the person you are. We become interested in all the “parts” within you that influence how you feel and act. We talk about your unique issues and relationships. Through the process of talking, feeling your emotions, and being with your therapist, you will have greater insight into your self and be able to make more informed life choices.

In couples therapy, I use innovative approaches based on the latest research relating to Emotionally Focused Therapy and Relational Life Therapy. I do not offer a free consultation for couples therapy as the best way to proceed is to book an appointment and experience a session.

My life path has been both exciting and challenging. I have experienced ups and downs along the way. These experiences have informed my own therapy, and have helped develop my empathy and understanding towards others.

My professional background includes over twenty years of experience working in a variety of roles such as executive, management consultant, coach, and trainer. I have worked in both private and public sector companies.

I became interested in working with individuals and couples in a deeper, more meaningful way over 15 years ago and then pursued training and began working as a psychotherapist and couples therapist.

I have worked with people that occupy different roles from students to top executives, as well as different careers, such as; artists, musicians, professionals, stay at home parents, and business owners.

Every one is unique, with specific issues and needs.

To schedule the free 30-minute consultation for individual therapy or a fee-for-service session for couples therapy please send me an email at Suzanne@papetherapy.ca. My phone number is 416-402-2032 if needed.

My office hours extend into the evenings and occasional weekends.
My office is at Pape and Danforth, just a few steps from the subway. There is a parking lot right across the street.

I offer therapy sessions on the telephone or FaceTime; however, it is important to meet in person for the consultation.

I look forward to meeting with you.

Please feel free to contact me for the free 30-minute consultation for individual therapy or to book your couples session. I can be reached at Suzanne@papetherapy.ca or 416-402-2032.
