Life can be challenging and impact your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. For over 25 years, I’ve studied why people get down or anxious and how to work through those feelings effectively in therapy. Together, we can tackle your sadness, worry, and self-doubt so you can overcome your challenges.
Our past experiences can significantly shape who we are today, influencing our self-esteem, relationships, and stress management. Often, underlying issues from our past can lead to unhelpful patterns of behaviour that limit our potential. What we’ve experienced can become our expectations.
Through therapy, we can uncover these patterns and work towards positive change. I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
We’ll delve into your past to understand how it might be impacting your present, as well as relationships, and then we’ll collaborate to overcome challenges and achieve your goals. Therapy can also help you navigate current struggles like perfectionism or feeling stuck, providing ongoing support as you navigate work, relationships, and other life demands.

With over 25 years of experience, I’ve developed a proven approach to therapy. We’ll start by exploring your past experiences and relationships, which can provide valuable insights into your current challenges. This will help us understand your unique needs and set clear goals for therapy.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, we’ll work together to address your specific concerns. I’ll create a safe and supportive space where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings.
After therapy, my clients often report feeling more self-aware, confident, and empowered. They’ve experienced improved relationships, reduced stress, and greater well-being.
Many couples have found that therapy can help them overcome past hurts and misunderstandings. By addressing old issues and improving communication, they’ve strengthened their relationship and built a stronger connection and future together.
I’ve been a therapist for over 25 years, helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges. I have a dual educational background: a Masters degree in Adult Counselling and a Ph.D. with children and teenagers.
This unique background provides me with a lifespan understanding of the nature of development from the early years to adulthood. My research and clinical experience included working with children as a play therapist and, as such, developing a keen insight into how early symptoms such as anxiety, depression, anger, and low self-esteem can be generated from the home or school environment. It was gratifying to help so many children overcome their challenges and dismantle their symptoms.
I also studied couples and their complexities, such as how their family backgrounds can influence so many aspects of their relationship. I learned how important it is to see if resolving these issues can lead to greater satisfaction. During my studies, I also conducted research and provided marital therapy to police couples. It continues to be rewarding to help police officers, their families, and many other couples.
It was gratifying to provide therapy to children at their schools and in my practice. My experience as a play therapist has given me a deep understanding of how early life experiences can shape who we become, what patterns we develop and what coping strategies we use. This insight informs my work with adults, often helping them uncover and address the roots of their current struggles.
It’s a privilege to support my clients on their journey towards healing and growth.
Zoom sessions are provided throughout the week (and on some weekends).
