About
Sometimes something just feels off — sadness, anxiety, or a sense that life isn’t quite working. You might not have words for it yet. That’s okay. That’s often where this work begins.
Psychotherapy is a space to slow down and pay attention to what you’re feeling and why. It’s not advice-giving. It’s a relationship with someone trained to listen and help you make sense of things.
People come for many reasons — anxiety, depression, grief, or simply a feeling that something needs to change. Most find that understanding themselves better brings real, lasting relief.
I came to this work through my own experience in therapy, and I know firsthand how much it can change a person’s life. I bring that into every session, along with genuine care and curiosity.
A free, 30 minute consultation is available.
Each session begins with what matters most to you right now. There’s no agenda — just a focused, uninterrupted 50 minutes to think aloud, to feel heard, and to begin making sense of things.
I follow your lead. My role isn’t to tell you what to do — it’s to stay curious about your experience and, when the moment is right, offer a reflection or observation that opens something up.
We work at your pace. Some people want to explore slowly; others are ready to go deep quickly. Either is fine. I’ll meet you where you are.
I work best with people who are looking for something more than symptom management — who want to understand, not just cope. Most of my clients come weekly, and we work together over time
More About Approaches
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy This approach looks at how your past experiences, relationships, and patterns of thinking and feeling shape who you are today — often in ways you’re not fully aware of. By exploring these connections together, you can begin to understand yourself more deeply and find more freedom in how you live and relate to others.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) CBT focuses on the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It’s a practical, structured approach that helps you identify unhelpful patterns of thinking and develop more effective ways of coping — often with noticeable results in a shorter period of time.
MY BACKGROUND
I came to this work the same way many of my clients do: through my own experience in therapy. Years of personal work, alongside a rigorous six-year training program at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, shaped not just my skills but my belief in what this process can genuinely do.
Before becoming a therapist, I attended McMaster University where I completed a BA in Classical Civilization. I attended York University and successfully completed the Mediation/ADR program. I’ve worked across government, education, not-for-profit, and technology sectors — which means I’ve had a front-row seat to many of the pressures people carry. I bring genuine curiosity to every conversation, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to reach out.
