Meet Kristopher

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an exploratory talk therapy that maintains a belief in something called an unconscious. We experience awareness of the world both unconsciously and consciously, and these processes interact dynamically within us and influence our ways of being with and in the world. Sometimes, things that remain outside of our conscious awareness can play a part in what is troubling us.

Psychotherapy provides a non-judgemental space for you to be heard and stirred. The accompaniment of your therapist can help you safely and effectively explore the thoughts, memories, feelings, and desires that may be difficult for you to acknowledge and express otherwise.

You may be in need of a healing practice to address wounds that remain as the after-effects of traumatic experiences.  Your need for therapy may stem from a desire for personal growth. You may also be drawn to therapy by feelings you cannot yet define. Sometimes, you cannot know what you need until someone else recognizes it and helps you get it.

In the therapeutic conversation it can become possible to catch sight of what has eluded recognition in your conscious awareness yet continues to contribute to your difficulties. Effective psychotherapy can help you re-integrate loose ends calling for closure and re-establish access to your own wealth of inner resources as you move forward into better ways of living.
