Humans are innately wired for healing and growth. Past trauma, however, can cause a state of overwhelm that disrupts this capacity. This often shows up as anxiety, depression, persistent relationship difficulties, a sense of stagnation, or reliance on unhelpful coping patterns.
The path forward is not about adding something you lack, but about clearing what holds back your inner resources. The trauma-informed therapy approach I use is designed to facilitate this process, restoring your natural resilience and capacity for growth to achieve genuine, profound change.
A Therapy for Deep Change
I often work with individuals who have reached the limits of traditional talk therapy. While insight and coping tools may have been helpful, they haven’t enabled the deep, lasting change you seek. You’re looking for a therapy that can fundamentally change how you feel, relate to others, and experience yourself—a therapy that fosters true self-agency and freedom.
My approach is designed for this level of deep work. I integrate several trauma-informed modalities—primarily EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), AEDP, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy—within a psychodynamic framework. All of my work is informed by ‘parts work’ (IFS/Internal Family Systems).
Why an Experiential & Somatic Approach?
Just as you can’t learn to float by reading a book on the theory of floating, healing often requires more than insight. We must safely engage with emotions and past experiences to create new, lived learning. My experiential and somatic approaches aim to provide a supportive way to ‘get in the water,’ helping you not only learn to float but to swim, leading to a profoundly new experience of yourself and your life.
Whether you are new to therapy or seeking a deeper therapeutic approach, I would be honoured to work with you toward your own meaningful transformation.
My Path & Approach
My journey to becoming a therapist began with a powerful personal transformation of my own, which inspired me to leave my first career in clinical research. For over 13 years, it has been my profound privilege to support others in their healing.
I bring an integrated approach to this work, grounded in psychodynamic theory and enriched by advanced training in experiential (AEDP Level 3), somatic (Sensorimotor Level 1, Deep Brain Reorienting Level 3), and EMDR modalities. My work is deeply informed by ‘parts work’ (IFS).
I remain continually engaged in training to find the most effective ways to continue to help my clients.
Consultation & Scheduling
I offer a complimentary 30-minute video (or phone) consultation for us to connect and explore working together. It’s a chance for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy and for me to answer your questions about my approach.
My fee is $200 for a standard 50-minute session. Appointments are available in-person, via secure video, or by phone.
