If you and your partner are growing apart, stuck in the same fights, or struggling to find your way back to each other, I can help. I work with couples and families navigating relationship breakdown, communication difficulties, infidelity, and the slow erosion of connection. I also work with individuals who want to know themselves more deeply, shed what no longer fits, and live with more ease, authenticity, and aliveness.
I’ve lived in different countries, changed careers more than once, and raised children while finding my own path. I know how disorienting and demanding change can be—and how meaningful it is to find clarity and strength along the way.
My clients often begin therapy feeling unsure, burdened, or stuck. Over time, many experience deep relief, greater confidence, and more ease in how they relate to themselves and others. They become braver, freer, and more connected.
I help people work through difficult and sometimes painful experiences. With couples, I focus on helping you understand the deeper emotions driving the painful patterns you keep getting stuck in. Most couples arrive feeling disconnected and unheard, caught in the same arguments that never quite resolve. Together, we work to express what’s really happening underneath, listen differently, and find your way back to each other. My couples work is grounded in attachment and trauma theory, and informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and psychodynamic thinking. With families, we create enough safety for each person to be heard, so that relationships can shift rather than harden.
With individuals, we slow down enough to understand yourself more fully, so that real change becomes possible rather than just intended. I draw from different ways of understanding what’s going on, exploring your past, how your mind and body respond to stress, and how your current relationships are shaped by both.
My ability to connect with people across cultural and language barriers comes from a diverse upbringing and life lived across several countries. I speak English and Bulgarian and understand Russian. I have a background in business and technology, and spent years working in high-profile companies before returning to my deeper interest in human psychology. I completed rigorous clinical training at the Center for Training in Psychotherapy in Toronto and hold certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy through ICEEFT.
