    Pape & O’Connor | Toronto, ON | M4J 3G1

My office is located at Pape and O’Connor, in Toronto’s east end.

Welcome! Congratulations on choosing to explore the possibility of creating positive change in your life through therapy.

Whether it is for an immediate crisis, a challenging life transition, separation or divorce, bereavement, loss of employment, dissatisfaction with your current life situation or ongoing emotional distress (such as poor relationships, anxiety or depression), therapy can help support you through these difficult, painful, and challenging times.

First and foremost, I provide a safe and supportive environment in which to explore what most concerns you. My approach centres on deep listening, compassion, and respect. Everything we discuss is strictly confidential.

Then, I will help you to uncover unconscious patterns and beliefs that may be negatively affecting your life or blocking your clarity—and help you to identify those meanings and personal truths that empower you. We may also explore any other issues that disconnect you from yourself or others. Collaboratively, we will discover new and positive ways to approach your life and to discover what gives you meaning, purpose, and joy, both individually and in your relationships with others.

By its very nature, our work is transformative and empowering!

Although my education began with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and led me to a career in the corporate environment, I found myself continuously gravitating toward projects and career choices that involved coaching others in becoming more effective communicators, managers and leaders. Helping others feel more effective and empowered in their interpersonal skills seemed natural to me.

My love and curiosity for understanding how people learn, what motivates them and what obstacles get in their way, led me to the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy where I graduated as a psychotherapist.

It is here where my passion lies.  I offer a unique blend of experience and training in business and psychotherapy.  This may seem like a paradox, but I believe it helps me understand the struggles and challenges that are coupled with leading a fulfilling, successful life that has purpose and meaning.

Once I began working as a psychotherapist I discovered that many of my clients struggled in their significant relationships.  I wanted to help and so I began my training in this area.  It is extremely gratifying to work with couples – to help them rediscover their love, passion and mutual respect, or to simply help them navigate a difficult situation.

If you are an individual or a couple looking for help, I welcome your inquiry.

The match between therapist and client is an important consideration.  I offer an initial no-fee phone consultation, to discuss how I work and briefly address the issues that have led you to consider therapy. Once we have spoken, if you believe the match is good, we will arrange an in-person meeting.

To schedule an initial call, please contact me at 416 450-9848, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, or email me at rosanneritchie@rogers.com.

I am passionate about my work, and should you decide that my approach suits your needs, please contact me at rosanneritchie@rogers.com, or call 416-450-9848. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
