Human beings have an innate and remarkable capacity for healing and growth. However, when we are overwhelmed by our experiences and/or our feelings, or when access to our feelings is blocked, our ability to heal, grow, and change can be compromised.

How we struggle as a result will manifest differently in each of us. Some examples include but are not limited to experiencing anxiety and/or depression, difficult relationship patterns, unhappiness in our careers, feeling lonely, and developing unhealthy ways of coping.

You hold within yourself everything you need to get to where you want to go. Our goal, together, is to help you access and grow your untapped resources, so that the healing and change you seek can become possible.

As a psychotherapist, I approach our work together with kindness, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping you make the changes you seek.

I’m very aware that insight and understanding ‘why’ are not sufficient for lasting change. Drawing on my psychodynamic and AEDP training, I will work actively with you to help you experience yourself in new and expanded ways, with an emphasis on nurturing your strengths and capacities for deep personal transformation.

It is my hope that you will find the work enormously rewarding and life affirming.

My own powerfully transformative experience as a client in therapy ignited my desire to help others transform their own lives.

My corporate career in clinical and pharmaceutical research has given me valuable knowledge of medical models for treating mental illness, including anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.

This allows me to help clients who are on medication or contemplating medication to navigate between different treatment modalities. Understanding what therapy can do, versus what medication can do, is crucial to making the best decisions related to your wellbeing.

I continue to engage in ongoing training and education, and remain deeply excited about finding different ways to work with and help my clients achieve their goals.

I have trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy (CTP Graduate), sensorimotor psychotherapy (Level 1) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP, Level 2). I consider ongoing supervision an essential part of my training/work and I’m actively pursuing further AEDP training.

I offer a 30 minute no-charge consultation to see if we are the right fit for each other. We can explore what brings you to therapy, and I can answer any questions you may have about therapy and what our work together would look like.

My rate is $180 + HST per 50-minute session. I offer in-person, video (secure online format) or phone sessions.

Please contact me at 647-285-8080 or to book a consultation or if you have any questions.

My office is located at the 400 Dupont Therapy Centre on Dupont Street, close to the Dupont subway station at Spadina, in Toronto. I work in English and Spanish.
