About
Psychotherapy is a process of unearthing and reconnecting with the authentic, often buried, aspects of ourselves—the parts that may have been overshadowed by life’s challenges, traumas, or societal expectations. It’s about peeling back the layers of conditioning, fears, and insecurities to reveal the inherent wholeness and resilience within us.
Growth in therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken; instead, it’s about embracing our humanity and the complete range of our experiences, both positive and negative. By exploring the depths of our mind, we can ease suffering not by eliminating our challenges, but by gaining a deeper insight into ourselves, and nurturing compassion and acceptance.
I practice psychodynamic therapy, which means I meet with clients once or twice weekly for 50-minute sessions during which we explore whatever you bring in to address. Due to the nature of this work and depth of exploration, the therapy I conduct tends to be medium- to long-term in duration.
We’ll create a space for self-curiosity and exploration—a safe and confidential container where we can unravel your lived experience, unpack emotions, and help make meaning of your world. I foster an environment where growth can unfold naturally, organically, and at your own pace.
My journey into the field of therapy has been deeply rooted in a lifelong fascination with the complexities of the human mind and spirit.
From a young age, I was drawn to understanding the workings of the human psyche, intrigued by the ways in which our thoughts, emotions, and experiences shape our reality. This curiosity led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology, where I delved into the foundational principles of human behaviour and mental processes.
However, it was my own personal experiences and struggles that ignited my desire to become a therapist. Having navigated through my own journey of self-discovery and healing, I intimately understand the power of therapy firsthand. Over the course of two decades, I have engaged in my own therapeutic process, uncovering layers of my psyche, and embarking on a profound journey towards self-awareness and growth.
I was trained at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP), which provided me with a rich and comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic modalities. This formal education, along with my personal experiences, has provided me the basis to work with a range of clients to support their individual paths towards healing.
Please contact me through the form on this page, to set a time to meet for an initial no-fee consultation. I’d be happy answer questions and hear more about what brings you to therapy.
I currently have daytime appointments available. I work in person, but we can meet virtually when time and distance are a factor.
