Something very unique can happen within the safe boundaries, the confidentiality, and the helping relationship that is a therapy.
In a psychodynamic therapy, also called a depth therapy, we are making use of your unconscious. In the living of our daily lives we can imagine that our logical, transactional selves are running the show. Actually, we are each “run” by our own unconscious, which is of unfathomable depths. When we begin a dialogue with this part of ourselves, we open a portal to coming to know and understand our blind spots and our painful patterns, as well as the creative help and wisdom that is available to us through our depths.

In a therapy, we begin with where you are at. Whatever you feel called to speak about, be it a present-day crisis that is consuming you or a memory that you cherish, we are together making room for your deeper parts to begin to speak more freely. All that I will ask you to do is to make your best effort to not edit yourself because something might feel embarrassing, unimportant, or repetitive.
My task is to listen for the glimmers of those parts of your mind that are active but sitting at the edges of your awareness, and to begin to familiarize you with this essential aspect of yourself. This deep listening will allow us to work together on the problems and the areas of confusion that have developed in your life.
During my sixteen-year career in corporate human resources, I became interested in the question of what helps people to change and grow.
A personal crisis prompted me to enter into a depth therapy, something I had previously never imagined doing. I found the effect on how I felt within myself to be so profound that in 1996 I made the choice to enter into part-time training at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy. There I underwent a rich training in psychodynamic psychotherapy that inspires me to this day to continue to practice, study, reflect, and devote myself to my own continued personal growth.
I have been practicing full-time since 2003, and have discovered over the years that I seem to be particularly helpful to business professionals.
The first step is a very practical one. When a time slot opens up in my practice, I list myself here as “Accepting New Clients”. Please reach out to me by email or phone to determine whether the time slot I have available is something that you would be able to accommodate into your weekly schedule. This type of therapy is one that requires you to commit to yourself and the work. Please be willing to give your therapy time in order to evaluate the difference it is making in your life.
