About

Psychotherapy offers a space to slow down and listen—to the parts of ourselves that often go unheard. In our performance-driven world, many of us learn to keep our struggles private, even from ourselves. But there is wisdom in turning toward what’s painful or confusing. Healing begins when you have space to explore that pain with another who understands.

In therapy, our conversations become a unique kind of mirror—not just reflecting what’s already known, but illuminating what’s just beneath the surface. Together, we can recognize survival patterns with compassion and gently loosen their grip. There is no need to criticize what has simply been a way of coping in a complex world.

This work is built on a fundamental belief: you already carry inner wisdom. Even when that wisdom feels buried under self-doubt, fear, or beliefs about who you should be, it’s still there. Psychotherapy helps create the conditions where that wisdom can come forward.

This is not about becoming a different person, but rather returning to something more deeply true. When you learn to relate to your experiences with greater honesty and care, lasting change becomes not just possible, but inevitable.

How We Work Together

I offer 50-minute online therapy sessions once per week. This consistent rhythm builds trust, deepens your self-understanding, and keeps us connected to what matters most emotionally.

We start with what brings you to therapy now and what you hope might change. We’ll also look at your personal and relationship history to understand how your early experiences continue to influence your present life.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is rooted in psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspectives. I understand how past experiences—especially those from early or overwhelming relationships—can shape your sense of self. I also integrate somatic (body-based) awareness, gently exploring how emotions live in your body. Sometimes, simply slowing down and listening inwardly allows new insights to emerge.

The relationship we build together is central to healing. I use my own responses thoughtfully to deepen understanding and reflection. Over time, this process helps loosen stuck patterns, restore genuine connection, and support a more authentic relationship with yourself and others

Why I Became a Therapist

My own transformative therapy journey led me to this calling. Having experienced the profound healing that comes from psychotherapy, I understand firsthand the life-changing impact this work can have.

Therapy opened new ways of understanding myself and moving through the world. I decided to use what I learned to help others.

Professional Training & Creative/Intuitive Approach

I completed my training at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP), an academically rigorous and experientially immersive program. That training deepened my understanding of what it means to be truly seen and heard.

With a background in fine arts, I bring a creative and intuitive approach to therapy. I often work with dreams, imagery, and metaphor to explore your inner landscape in ways that go beyond words alone.

My experience as a mother has deepened my sensitivity to how our earliest relationships continue to shape us. This insight informs how I work with clients to understand their own patterns and possibilities for growth.

If you’re curious about starting therapy or have any questions, I welcome you to reach out by email at cbeveridgepsychotherapy@gmail.com. I currently offer virtual sessions, with availability Monday through Thursday during the day.

To begin, I offer a 30-minute no-fee consultation for a chance to talk and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. This initial meeting can be a helpful way to get a sense of what you’re looking for and whether this space might support you in the ways you need.
