About

We are all shaped by the environments we were raised in. If we were exposed to trauma, chaos, a lack of safety, or parental addiction, we may not have found necessary support to thrive. Missing security and attunement can leave us feeling stuck, inhibiting our ability to form satisfying relationships, or limiting our capacity to feel creative and alive.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or are struggling in relating, therapy could be of meaningful help to you.

In therapy, trust builds gradually. We work together to build the safety needed to explore your inner world at your own pace. Engaging in a therapy is unlike speaking with a friend or partner. A psychotherapist is here not to fix or advise, but to witness and accompany you.

My aim is to listen closely your feelings and thoughts, your dreams and the everyday details of life that often hold deeper meaning. Together we bring curiosity and awareness to your experience.  Over time, and where helpful, we may begin to notice how patterns from the past continue to shape your present. The gathering of your unique history is important to the therapeutic process. It can open new possibilities for living with more freedom and clarity.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a focused, collaborative conversation that helps uncover what might sit below the surface of our thoughts and feelings. This process can lead to greater self-understanding and agency. The pace of the work rests in your hands, as we create space to reflect and make lasting internal shifts.

This type of therapy is not a quick fix—deep, lasting change takes time.

As your therapist, I offer a warm, confidential space where I will be a present and active participant in the work that we do together. Typically, I meet with clients weekly for 60 minutes, exploring what feels pressing, whether it is a present or past issue. All feelings, thoughts, and desires are welcome.

I offer a free initial consultation where we will have a conversation about what has brought you to seek a therapy. We can also cover any questions that you may have about my approach and what you can expect from me.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I spent many years working in the hospitality industry, where I encountered people from all walks of life. This has greatly informed my diverse practice.

I bring real-world experience, a strong capacity to relate, and a long personal therapeutic journey to my work. Through my own therapy, I’ve developed deep insight into unconscious dynamics and a genuine understanding of what it’s like to be in the client’s chair.

My extensive training combined academic theory, experiential learning, and group psychotherapy, with a focus on relational and attachment-informed approaches. I am committed to the work of psychotherapy and its potential for personal transformation. I remain honoured by the courage that my clients possess in sharing their innermost truth.

I work with clients over the phone or online. I offer an initial consultation, which is a good way to determine whether we are a good fit, therapeutically. If you are interested in booking an initial consultation you can email me at cftherapy1@gmail.com. I generally respond to emails within 24 hours.
