Psychotherapy is a way to explore what does not feel right in your life, in a safe and non-judgmental space. It is a way of understanding at a deep level those things that repeatedly get in your way. You might want a change but perhaps are not sure what that might look like or how to begin. Therapy can help to shift your sense of meaning and purpose, and your understanding of the world around you.
Because the right fit is important, and because you may have questions about therapy or my approach before we begin, I offer an initial, free 30-minute consultation, by request.
I maintain space in my practice to meet with and provide reports for individuals and couples who are using assisted reproduction. My work is informed by my knowledge and experience of IVF using both donor egg and donor sperm; a deep understanding of issues around grief, loss and attachment; and my extensive work with, and unique understanding of, the LGBTQ community. My professional psychotherapy training, and my personal experience allow for a supportive environment where, hopefully, each client feels encouraged to express her/him/themselves freely.
I work with Toronto lawyers to assess individuals claiming refugee status and provide supporting documentation for Immigration hearings. In the in-depth clinical interview and subsequent report, I draw on my training and experience, to evaluate and assess symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, and other symptomology. I accept Legal Aid cases and and I am typically able to accommodate even those reports requested with only a few days notice.
